Elementary Religious Education Information

Registration for 1st Year Tuesday Classes has been closed.
Registration for 3rd Year Monday Classes has been closed.
The Immaculate Conception Parish Elementary Religious Education Program assists in providing a foundation for your child’s relationship with Christ and faith in the Catholic Church as well as preparation for receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.

Students are required to attend weekly in-person classes and complete weekly on-line Chapter Review Quizes at home.
Students will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist after successfully completing three years of classes in our Elementary Religious Education Program.

If you want your child get a head start, we have a Kindergarten program.
(This does not count as one of the three years required to receive sacraments).

We have an Accelerated Program, where we will prepare older students to receive their sacraments.

All students are required to complete weekly on-line Chapter Reviews at home and receive a minimum score of 70% in order to successfully complete the program.

We made arrangements with the Meadow City Express Bus Service to transport students from East and West Las Vegas Elementary & Middle Schools to Catechism Classes. There is a $20 annual fee for this service. Space on the bus is limited so seats will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. The fee must be paid in order to reserve a seat on the bus.

East Las Vegas School District only has a few seats left on Mondays. The $20 fee must be paid in order to secure your child's seat on the bus.

Elementary Religious Education Requirements
MASS: All families are required to attend Mass each Sunday.Students are required to attend
Mass once a month with their class immediately following Religious Ed Class. (See class schedule
for Mass dates)
BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE: A Baptism Certificate is required at the time of registration in order to complete the registration process.
(Please drop a copy off at the IC Rectory or email it to [email protected]).
FEE: There is a $35 registration fee that must be paid before classes begin.
(Please speak with Deacon Ernest or Darlene if you have difficulty paying the fee).
